The Van Den Eynde Classic

Interprovincial race

On February 17th and 18th, come and challenge yourself in a 2-day interprovincial race at the CNCB. In order to develop more athletes and to offer more racing experience for all Quebec runners, the FQSC is making a modification to the calendar initially presented. The Quebec track championship will be held on December 2 and 3, 2023.

Friday :

  • 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm: Preparation for the mandatory U15 H & W race
  • 1:30 pm : Delivery of race numbers and opening of the central area
  • 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: 200m Flying (all categories)
  • 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
    • Cadet Men: Team Sprint** / Scratch Race 12 laps
    • Junior men: Team sprint** (qualifications) / Scratch
    • Seniors and Masters Men: Team sprint** (qualifications) / Scratch race
    • Women: Team Sprint** / Scratch Race 12 laps
  • Ends: 9pm

**The composition of your team of 3 must be determined before you pick up your number. The 4 best teams will go directly to the finals.

Saturday :

  • 8:00 am : Opening of the central area
  • 8:00 am to 9:00 am: Warm-up and delivery of race numbers
  • 9:00 am to 10:30 am:
    • Cadet men: Time trial (500m)
    • Junior men: Time trial (1000m)
    • Women: Time trial (500m)
  • 10:30 am to 12:30 pm*:
    • Cadet Men: Elimination Race
    • Junior Men: Elimination Race
    • Seniors and Masters Men: Elimination Race
    • Women: Elimination Race

*The individual and team pursuit have been replaced by an elimination race.

  • 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm: Finals
    • Cadet Men: 30-lap Points Race / Sprint Match / Team Sprint Final
    • Junior Men: 40-lap Points Race / Sprint Match / Team Sprint Final
    • Seniors and Masters Men: 60-lap Points Race / Sprint Match / Sprint Team Final
    • Women: 30-lap Points Race / Sprint Match / Team Sprint Final

Online registration will close on the Thursday before the race at 12:00.

The race is open to Quebec residents holding a valid FQSC license. The one-day license is also allowed and residents of other Canadian provinces can register with the UCI license.

No on-site registration

 

***At the end of the race on Saturday, the FQSC will hold individual pursuit trials for interested U17 and U19 athletes.
