2024-2025 Quebec Cup Track Series

This year’s Quebec Cup Track Series features not three, but four races, and the first of the season is already upon us!

Whether you’re a runner or a spectator, this is an intense event not to be missed. Registration for participants and spectators is now open.

Details

The first classic of our Quebec Cup Series on the track is named in honor of our long-time collaborator and newly inducted member of the Canadian Cycling Hall of Fame, Éric Van Den Eynde.

The Van Den Eynde Classic is a provincial track event open to all and sanctioned by the FQSC.

We look forward to welcoming all of you to the National Cycling Center of Bromont for the first round of this series.

Grouping of categories

  • Cat 1 : Seniors 1 Men
  • Cat 2 : Seniors 2 -3 Menand U19
  • Cat 3 : Masters Men(A 35-49 years / B 50 years +)
  • Cat 4 Women U19, Sr, Masters
  • Cat 5 : Women U15, U17
  • Cat 6 : Men U15, U17

Considering that the series takes place over 2 years, the age considered for the categories in the entries will be that which the participant will reach during the year 2025.

For the Quebec Cup leader jerseys, the points accumulation will also be based on the same categories.

*Riders must have taken part in and completed all the day’s events to be entitled to their ranking points.

*En the event of a tie on points for the evening’s cumulative ranking, the positions in each of the events will be added together (the person with the lowest total will have an advantage). If the tie persists, the ranking in the last race will be used to break the tie.

  • 11.00 – Doors open / registration
  • 12.00 pm – Warm-up on the track
    • 12.00 to 12.15 – CAT 5 and 6 (Maximum of 24 riders in rotation at any one time)
    • 12.15pm to 12.30pm – CAT 4 and 3 (Maximum of 30 riders at a time in rotation)
    • 12.30 p.m. to 12.45 p.m. – CAT 2 and 1 (Maximum of 30 riders at a time in rotation)
  • 12:45 pm – Meeting with riders and Chief Commissaire (at the podium)
  • 13h05 – Tempo (1 point par tour)
    • Cat 5 = 4 km
    • Cat 6 = 4 km

    Track certification is mandatory for anyone wishing to take part in the race. To obtain certification, please contact the Bromont National Cycling Center at info@cncb.ca.

    REGISTRATIONS

    ONLINE REGISTRATION

    Entries are currently open and will close at noon on the Friday before the classic. The race is open to non-Quebec residents holding a valid UCI licence.

    Sign up for all four races at the same time and get 15% off! No code required, applied automatically. Accumulate points by taking part in every race in the series to win the Quebec Cup champion’s jersey!

    EQUIPMENT RENTAL

    It will be possible to rent a track bike for the race. Modifications must be made under the supervision of our mechanic. Breakages or losses will be billed to the athletes. . Our bikes are fitted with Shimano SPD-SL pedals (road model).

    The rental includes :

    • Grandstand access: $10 per person ($30 per family) for the entire event.

    Are you new to this discipline? Well, thanks to the commentary and explanations provided by our hosts during the race, you won’t miss a thing on the track! Tickets give access to the grandstands for the whole day of the event. Regular and family rates are available (free for children aged 10 and under).

    Details for CNCB Classic participants wishing to register for an Ontario Cycling race

    Quebec cyclists who have participated in an Ontario Cup during the year will receive a 10% discount on their registration for the Ontario Provincial Championships. Those wishing to receive a discount code for the Ontario Provincial Championships must complete the attached form, attaching a copy of their Ontario Cup receipt, and a discount code will be e-mailed to them for use at the time of payment.
