The Holiday Classic

The second classic of our Quebec Cup track series.

The Holiday Classic is a regional track event open to all and sanctioned by the FQSC.

We look forward to welcoming you to the center for this second round of racing!

Tickets for spectators

Registrations are currently open and will close on the Friday before the race; December 29th at noon.

The race is open to non-residents of Quebec holding a valid UCI license.

*No on-site registration, without exception*



Only certified and registered coaches will be allowed to enter the central area and accompany their athlete.

Register as a coach

  • Access to the stands: $10 per person ($30 per family) for the entire event.
  • On-site canteen

No food allowed in the central area.

**Only racers are allowed to access the central area.

Grouping of categories

  • Cat 1 : Seniors 1 Men
  • Cat 2 : Seniors 2 – 3 Menand U19
  • Cat 3 : Masters Men(A 35-49 years / B 50 years +)
  • Cat 4 Women U19, Sr, Masters
  • Cat 5 : Women U15, U17
  • Cat 6 : Men U15, U17

*Considering that the series takes place over 2 years, the age considered for categories in registrations will be the age that the participant will reach during the year 2024.

Medals and podiums based on the above categories and subcategories.

For the Quebec Cup leader jerseys, the points accumulation will also be based on the same categories.

 

Distribution of points for the Quebec Cup

(Points for the first five positions only)

  • 1st – 10 points
  • 2nd – 8 points
  • 3rd – 6 points
  • 4th – 4 points
  • 5th – 2 points
  • From 6th to last – 1 point for all the other positions

(Double points for the main event of the day)

Riders must have participated in and completed all the events of the day to earn their points for the overall standings.

In case of a tie in points for the evening’s cumulative ranking, it is the sum of positions in each of the events that will determine the winner (the one with the smallest sum is favored). If the tie persists, the ranking in the last race will be used to break the tie.

Four events will take place during the evening:

  1. Sprint Match / Keirin
  2. Tempo
  3. Unknown distance
  4. Points Race (Main Event)

11:00 AM: Doors open / Registration

 

12:00 PM : Warmup session on the track

12:00 to 12:20 PM : CAT 5 and 6 ( Maximum of 24 riders at a time in rotation)

12:20 to 12:40 PM : CAT 4 and 3 (Maximum of 30 riders at a time in rotation)

12:40 to 1:00 PM : CAT 2 and 1 (Maximum of 30 riders at a time in rotation)

1:05 PM : Tempo (1 point per lap)

  • Cat 5 = 4 km
  • Cat 6 = 4 km
  • Cat 4 = 5 km
  • Cat 3 = 5 km
  • Cat 2 = 7.5 km
  • Cat 1 = 7.5 km

2:05 PM : Keirin

(Wave of 6 riders to qualify for the sprint)

  • Cat 5 = 3 laps behind motorcycle, 3 sprint laps (exhibition) (moto 40kmh)
  • Cat 6 = 3 laps behind motorcycle, 3 sprint laps (exhibition) (moto 40kmh)
  • Cat 4 = 3 laps behind motorcycle, 3 sprint laps (moto 45kmh)
  • Cat 3 = 3 laps behind motorcycle, 3 sprint laps (moto 50kmh)
  • Cat 2 = 3 laps behind motorcycle, 3 sprint laps (moto 50kmh)
  • Cat 1 = 3 laps behind motorcycle, 3 sprint laps (moto 50kmh)

 

3:05 PM : Unknown distance (between 5 and 20 laps)

  • Cat 5
  • Cat 6

4:05 PM : Sprint

6:00 PM : Dinner break

6:30 pm: Points race

  • Cat 5 = 40 laps – 10 km (4 sprints) (8:55 PM)
  • Cat 6 = 40 laps – 10 km (4 Sprints) (9:10 PM)
  • Cat 4 = 50 laps – 12.5 km (5 sprints) (8:55 PM)
  • Cat 3 Masters B = 60 laps -15 km (6 Sprints (9:10 PM))
  • Cat 3 Masters A = 60 laps -15 km (6 Sprints) (9:35 PM)
  • Cat 2 = 60 laps -15 km (6 Sprints) (9:55 PM)
  • Cat 1 = 80 laps – 20km (8 Sprints)

 

** If there are more than 24 participants in a category, there will be qualifying waves to determine the finalists (Qualifying races are always points races)
