In a friendly atmosphere, you will learn different training methods as well as the specific rules for different track races. Each session is supervised by our qualified coaches, who will offer you targeted exercises to develop your track cycling skills.

This class is for children who want to explore the velodrome

The Youth Beginner Track School is intended for children who want to take their first laps on the track in a safe, stimulating, and age-appropriate environment. Through a variety of games, exercises, and challenges, participants will develop the basic skills needed for track cycling.

In particular, the kids will learn to:

  • Ride on the different sections of the velodrome
  • Control their bike and maintain their balance
  • Follow the safety instructions
  • Share the road harmoniously with other road users

        Gradually, they will gain confidence and develop the technical skills that will enable them to continue improving on the track.

        Requirements

        • Be between 8 and 12 years old
        • Know how to ride a road bike or mountain bike with ease

        Fall Session

        • Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
        • October 4 through December 20, 2026

        This class is for children who want to improve their skills on the slopes

        The Intermediate Youth Track School is intended for young cyclists who have mastered the basics of track cycling and wish to further develop their technical and physical skills. Those who are interested can also get a taste of competition.

        Through a variety of training exercises tailored to their skill level, participants will improve their bike handling, group riding, and understanding of the different situations they encounter on the track.

        In particular, the kids will learn to:

        • Improve their positioning on the track
        • Cycling Effectively in a Group
        • Implementing Different Types of Relays
        • Build their speed, endurance, and confidence

              The sessions promote gradual progress while maintaining a dynamic and motivating approach.

              Requirements

              • Be between 10 and 15 years old
              • To be certified on the velodrome

                Fall Session

                • Sundays, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
                • October 4 through December 20, 2026

                Note: A minimum of 10 participants is required for the training group. CNCB reserves the right to cancel the session or merge two groups if there are insufficient registrations. To support each young person’s development, the coach may reassign a participant to a group that is better suited to their skill level and experience.

                To prepare for races at the velodrome

                The Advanced Youth Track School is intended for young cyclists who want to deepen their understanding of track events and develop the skills needed for competition.

                The training sessions focus on the technical, tactical, and physical aspects of track cycling. Through specific exercises and race simulations, participants will learn how to optimize their performance and make effective decisions in competitive situations.

                In particular, the participants will develop:

                • Advanced Relay and Circulation Techniques
                • Racing Tactics
                • Effort Management
                • The physical qualities specific to track cycling

                    Each session is designed to prepare participants to perform with confidence in an advanced training or competitive setting.

                    Requirements

                    • Be 14 years old or older
                    • To be certified on the velodrome
                    • Have prior experience on the velodrome or in another discipline, or have completed the Intermediate level

                      Fall Session

                      • Sundays, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
                      • October 4 through December 20, 2026

                      Build your confidence on the track

                      The Beginner Track Schoolis ideal for those who have recently earned their certification or for those who want to better understand track training. With a variety of sessions and exercises tailored to your skill level, you’ll enjoy a progressive and stimulating learning environment.

                      Over the course of several weeks, you’ll develop your technical skills—including awareness of other cyclists on the track, mastering lead-outs, riding in a pack, and the basics of track training—while improving your physical fitness.

                      • Age : 12 years old and over
                      • To be certified on the velodrome

                      Fall Session

                      • Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
                      • October 3 through December 19, 2026

                        Refine your track skills

                        The Intermediate Track School is designed for cyclists who want to refine their technical skills and improve their physical fitness on the velodrome.

                        Through structured training sessions and exercises tailored to their skill level, participants refine their ability to move as a group, the fluidity of their relay work, and their ability to read the track. The sessions also help them develop a better understanding of race situations and acquire the reflexes needed to navigate a dynamic environment effectively.

                        Through a variety of exercises, such as relays, mass starts, and changes in pace, participants benefit from a structured training program tailored to their goals.

                        Requirements

                        • Age: 12 and over
                        • To be certified on the velodrome
                        • Have previous experience on the track or have completed the Beginner level

                        Fall Session

                        • Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. OR Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
                        • September 29 through December 19, 2026

                          Improve your tactics and speed in race situations

                          The Competition Track School is intended for experienced cyclists who want to optimize their performance in a competitive setting. Designed for cyclists who wish to excel in the events of the Coupes du Québec series, this program combines the development of physical, technical, and tactical skills specific to track cycling.

                          The program offers rigorous and balanced sessions focused on developing tactics specific to each type of race, improving top speed, and refining competition strategies. Each training session aims to push your limits while consolidating your technical skills.

                          Requirements

                          • Age: 16 and over
                          • To be certified on the velodrome
                          • Have verifiable experience on the track

                          Fall Session

                          • Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
                          • September 28 through December 14, 2026

                            Become a Madison expert

                            The Madison Track School is intended for cyclists who want to master one of the most spectacular and strategic disciplines in track cycling.

                            Focused on teamwork and coordination among partners, this training session will help you refine your hand-off techniques, pacing, positioning during the race, and the ability to read the pack. Through specific exercises and race simulations, you’ll develop the reflexes and tactics needed to perform effectively in Madison races.

                            Each session is designed to improve the flow of interaction among teammates, strengthen communication during races, and deepen your understanding of the various strategies used in competition.

                            Requirements

                            • Age: 16 and over
                            • To be certified on the velodrome
                            • Verifiable track racing experience

                            Fall Session

                            • Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
                            • October 1 through December 17, 2026
