Discover all the secrets of the velodrome thanks to our Track School and its specialized group lessons.

In a friendly atmosphere, you will learn different training methods as well as the specific rules for different track races. Each session is supervised by our qualified coaches, who will offer you targeted exercises to develop your track cycling skills.

The registration period for the winter session will open on November 24, 2025.

The Youth Track School is for children who want to discover the velodrome or prepare for competition in a fun and safe environment.

This course is ideal for young people who are new to the track, as well as those who want to improve their performance.

Children will learn to:

  • Ride on the different sections of the velodrome
  • Control their bike and maintain their balance
  • Ride safely with other participants.

Gradually, they will develop the technical and physical skills necessary to perform. This course will serve to perfect the specific skills required for each track event and develop different energy systems.

Requirements

  • Be between 8 and 15 years old
  • Know how to ride a road bike or mountain bike with ease

Winter session

Two blocks of 7 classes – Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Block 1 – From January 18 to March 1, 2026
  • Block 2 – From March 15 to April 26, 2026

Note: A minimum of 10 participants is required for the training group. CNCB reserves the right to cancel the session or merge two groups if there are insufficient registrations.

Build your confidence on the track

The Beginner Track School is ideal for those who have just obtained their certification or who want to better understand track training.

Thanks to varied training sessions and exercises tailored to your level, you will enjoy an enriching and progressive experience. You will develop your technical skills such as visualizing others on the track, mastering relays, riding in a peloton, and improving your physical condition on the velodrome.

  • Age : 12 years old and over
  • To be certified on the velodrome

Winter session

Two blocks of 7 classes – Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Block 1 – From January 17 to February 28, 2026
  • Block 2 – From March 21 to May 2, 2026

Note: A minimum of 10 participants is required to maintain the training group. CNCB reserves the right to cancel the session or combine groups if there are insufficient registrations

Refine your track skills

The Intermediate Track School is for cyclists who want to deepen their technical skills and improve their physical condition on the velodrome.

This level allows participants to refine their group skills, improve the fluidity of relays, better perceive other cyclists on the track, and develop a strategic vision of the racing environment. Through structured training sessions and specific events—such as various relays, group starts, and pace changes—participants benefit from methodical progress tailored to their level and goals.

Requirements

  • Age: 12 and over
  • To be certified on the velodrome
  • Have previous experience on the track or have completed the Beginner level

Winter session

Two blocks of 8 lessons – Tuesdays, from 5pm to 7pm

  • Block 1 – From January 13 to March 3, 2026
  • Block 2 – From March 10 to April 28, 2026

Two blocks of 7 classes – Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

  • Block 1 – From January 17 to February 28, 2026
  • Block 2 – From March 21 to May 2, 2026

Moving toward performance

The Advanced Track School is a natural progression from the Intermediate level. It is designed for cyclists who want to push their physical limits while consolidating their high-level technical skills. The sessions aim to develop endurance, power, and speed, while exploring different track disciplines.

  • No courses offered in the winter 2026 session.

Develop your track racing skills

The Track Cycling School Introduction to Competition is specially designed for cyclists who want to prepare for their first experiences in track racing.

Through this introduction, you will explore the different track events, learn the rules, and discover the strategies specific to competitions. In addition to developing your various technical and tactical skills, you will practice individual and group starts, strategic positioning in races, and managing your effort according to the different energy systems used in competition.

Requirements

  • Age: 16 and over
  • To be certified on the velodrome
  • Have completed the Intermediate or Advanced course or have verifiable experience on the track

Winter session

  • Two blocks of 8 classes – Wednesdays, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    • Block 1 – From January 14 to March 4, 2026
    • Block 2 – From March 11 to April 30, 2026

Improve your tactics and speed in race situations

The Advanced Competition Track School is specially designed for cyclists who want to excel in the Quebec Cup program events, combining endurance and sprint training. It’s the perfect program to develop your Madison skills!

The program offers rigorous and balanced sessions focused on developing tactics specific to each type of race, improving top speed, and refining competition strategies. Each training session aims to push your limits while consolidating your technical skills.

Requirements

  • Age: 16 and over
  • To be certified on the velodrome
  • Verifiable track racing experience

Winter session

  • Two blocks of 8 classes – Mondays, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    • Block 1 – From January 12 to March 2, 2026
    • Block 2 – From March 9 to April 27, 2026

Become a track specialist

The Pursuit Track School is for cyclists who want to focus on managing their effort and race strategies.

The development of speed, consistency, and aerodynamic positioning is at the heart of this training program. Each session aims to optimize performance through targeted exercises and an in-depth technical approach.

The starting technique will also be covered in order to ensure effective acceleration and optimal speed from the very first meters.

Requirements

  • Age: 16 and over
  • To be certified on the velodrome

Winter session

Two blocks of 7 classes – Thursdays, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

  • Block 1 – From January 15 to March 5, 2026
  • Block 2 – From March 12 to April 30, 2026

Note: A minimum of six participants is required to maintain the training group. The CNCB reserves the right to cancel the session or regroup participants if there are insufficient registrations.
