The BMX BOLT Club welcomes some 120 members annually, and aims to develop athletes of all ages who want to start competing or simply perfect their BMX technical skills.

Give your child the opportunity to discover BMX racing in a safe and dynamic environment! Our courses are designed for young riders aged 5 to 10 and 11 and over (age as of December 31, 2025) with or without BMX experience. Participants must be able to pedal and brake on their own.

Classes are open to BMX and mountain bike riders! Limit of 15 places for each session.

Schedule

  • Monday and/or Wednesday
  • February 9 to April 15
  • Break March 2 and 4
  • 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. : Ages 10 and under
  • 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.: ages 11 and up

Rates

  • Once a week: $145 (no taxes)
  • Two times a week: $275 (no taxes)

Registrer

An additional fee of $35 applies to non-residents of Bromont.

Required equipment

  • BMX race or Dirt Jump
  • Sportswear suitable for BMX: long-sleeved jersey, long pants, long socks, full gloves.
  • Fullface helmet
  • Water bottle
  • Optional, but highly recommended: body protection (knee/shin pads, chest protector).

Recreational BMX Racing Course

Course objectives:

  • Learning the basics of BMX: position, balance, and fundamental techniques.
  • Introduction to grid start techniques.
  • Training on the track, pumptrack, and off-track exercises to improve skills.

Schedule and fees:

  • Not offered in the fall semester

Registration fees are tax-exempt and include a club jersey. A $35 discount is offered to Bromont residents. For multiple registrations, a $20 discount will be applied starting with the second registration for members of the same family.

Back in the summer of 2026.

Competitive BMX Racing Course

Does your child want to perfect their BMX racing skills? Our advanced courses are designed for young riders aged 5 to 10 and 11 to 14 (age as of December 31, 2025) who have at least one year of experience in BMX racing courses.

Course objectives:

  • Advanced piloting techniques: turns, jumps, sequences.
  • Improvement of grid start technique and race strategies.
  • Intensive training on the track, pumptrack, and off-track exercises.

Schedule and fees:

  • Not offered in the fall semester

Registration fees are tax-exempt and include a club jersey. A $35 discount is offered to Bromont residents. For multiple registrations, a $20 discount will be applied starting with the second registration for members of the same family.

BMX Racing DEVO Course

This program is for advanced pilots aged 13 to 17 (as of December 31, 2025) who want to push their limits and compete. To register, pilots must have several seasons of experience and aim to actively participate in the racing circuit.

Course objectives:

  • Technical improvement: jumping, restarting, strategic positioning, and speed.
  • Specific work on grid starts with analysis and repetitions.
  • Mental and physical preparation for competition.
  • Training on the track, pumptrack, and technical modules off-piste.

Schedule and fees:

  • Not offered in the fall semester

BMX Lessons for Adults

Want to try or rediscover BMX in a friendly, pressure-free environment? This class is for of all levels, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced cyclist curious to step outside your comfort zone.

Course objectives:

  • Learn or consolidate the basics of BMX: position, balance, turns, and acceleration.
  • Explore the track, pumptrack, and varied routes.
  • Train in a group, at your own pace, in a safe and motivating environment.

Schedule and fees:

  • Not offered in the fall semester

Back in the summer of 2026.

    • Supervision by an experienced trainer
    • Access to facilities for the duration of the class

    • Valid FQSC BMX license
